Page Lipe shows how she develops the toe loop. In this video she starts at the beginning and works her way up to the triple. She has one of her top skaters demonstrate triples using multiple entries. She shares a lot of information about common mistakes she sees and what exercises she uses to solve these problems.
As in Page’s other videos at iCoachSkating.com, there’s tons of important concepts in this video that will help coaches of all levels. For example, she talks about eliminating toe waltz jumps from the start, how the skating foot comes off the heel, how the toe actually needs to be placed under the hip of the rotational side, how the hips lead the shoulders, and how the body and head need to be aligned and balanced.
This is another great video from Page so please remember to leave a comment.
