Amy Brolsma teaches forward inside brackets. This is a continuation of Amy’s discussion of forward outside brackets. This is a short but packet presentation. Amy offers 3 options for free leg placement and movement. She also offers tips to make learning the bracket easier.
As with all of Amy’s presentations, first and foremost she wants to make sure the skater has a controlled, secure, and aligned entry edge. She says, “The most important thing is getting the edge and making sure they’re in the proper position of hips level and the body lean is inside the circle.” She then discusses the actual mechanics of the turn. The information on the exit body and foot position is very important.
