Using video to analyze figure skating elements has become extremely simple in terms of the technology available to all coaches and skaters. Essentially every smartphone has a video camera with playback that can be controlled to see specific movements or body part placements.
All coaches and skaters can learn to analyze jumps and spins and other elements. The videos below give many insights about what to look for when watching video in slow motion, or with frame-by-frame analysis.
