Bobbe Shire discusses back alignment and body position and tension for spinning. This video is a continuation of Bobbe’s 5 Steps of Spinning. Learn how Bobbe gets her skaters to present the spin entrance and maintain proper alignment. Also, hear her thoughts on tension versus tightness.
One fabulous tip in this video is what Bobbe calls “locking the back down.” When I sat in on some of her private lessons with her skaters, she repeatedly told them to “lock your back down.” The explanation she gives in this video helps her skaters feel exactly what she wants them to do. Look around your rink and see how many sloppy looking spin entries you see.
Bobbe also discusses attitude and how it plays a big role in spinning.

Bobbe, excellent video! Thank-you so much!
Thank you Bobbe! I love the controlled flex and the role that attitude has in the posture. I will use the Olympics scenario!! We appreciate your time!
