Spin specialist Charyl Brusch continues her discussion of the forward inside three turn entrance to forward spins. She introduces a new demonstrator who attempts. Charyl provides helpful feedback that we can all learn from. The value of this video is in seeing a top coach address common problems.
Charyl reiterates that she wants the skater to keep the head to the right (for those spinning to the left) on the exit of the forward inside three turn. She demonstrates why this helps the skater get aligned properly over the entrance edge. Charyl discusses one of the main reasons that skaters do not like to enter the spin with the head in this position. But it is worth it.
We are very fortunate to have a spin specialist of Charyl’s caliber as a presenter at iCoachSkating.com. Please leave a comment for Charyl or other members below.
