In this very short video, World and Olympic figure skating coach and choreographer Pasquale Camerlengo explains that he prefers to work as part of a team of coaches. Every coach has certain strengths, and skaters benefit from working with different personalities with different expertise. Nearly all elite coaches team teach, and being a “head coach” in today’s skating environment often means not only managing skaters but also a support team of coaches and other experts. Those head coaches still trying to do everything themselves are at a distinct disadvantage.
