Matthew Blair Davis describes the second step in the 3-step process he uses to improve a skater’s vertical jump.  After working to correct and perfect a skater’s squat, Matthew moves to a powerful jump exercise and a landing deceleration exercise.  These exercises use a box and Matthew and his demonstrator show good examples of what to look for.  Matthew discusses common errors for figure skaters.  Notice the recommended use of the arms.
