In this video, Tom Hickey continues his explanation of how to use a Skate Spinner effectively for training – Part 5. In this video, Tom discusses spins and footwork. Tom has Taylor demonstrate his spin positions on the Skate Spinner. If you think this is easy, try it yourself. The lack of rotational friction makes these positions and movements very difficult. After talking about spins, Tom then explains how the Spinner can be an effective tool for economically learning the movements of proper footwork and turns. Taylor was an especially good sport in this video as he had not yet had much practice with these difficult drills.

First time I have had a chance to watch this. I love using the spinner for footwork and can’t wait to try it! Thanks so much Tom!
I like the idea of using the spinner this way. During the summer, I also utilize the swimming pool for footwork. It is surprisingly similar to master finding the body positions without the fear.
